40 year old woman here and I was just thinking the same thing. 61 is too old for me. My limit would be about 53, but preferably 40-45.
I am 47 female, and I would not date a 60+ year old unless he looked much younger, around 50 (maybe). My DH is in his early 50's, but looks a bit younger. He's got a bit of a belly but other than that is in pretty good shape. I am a size 4 and am about the same weight as when I got married in my early 30's.
The only way a 60+ yr old man can get a 40 yr old woman is:
1. he has lots and lots of money
2. he is very fit and looks much younger than 60
3. the woman is very very desperate
I know you want to believe that but you are so wrong.
Really? Well since this is an anonymous forum I suppose you could lie and tell me some story that "proves" me wrong. As I said, I'm 47.. I have many female friends who are my age and no way would they date a 60 yr old who weren't either #1 or #2, and none of my friends are that desperate.

Why would you assume that? Is it based on what your read on DCUM? If that's the case, you should rethink. If a woman (or man) enjoyed sex in their 20s-30s, why would they not enjoy it at older ages? I'm a 50+ DW with a regular sex life. DH and I certainly aren't going at it like we used to but we still love each other, find each other attractive and are still sexual beings. We have less PIV sex than we used to but that's because DH has some medical challenges.
I'm just like you. My DH and I still love sex and we are both 55+. PIV can be a challenge for me at times but there are many ways to have sex that lead to the same result. My DH has no complaints!

Nope. 47 married female. I'd like it more if DH were in shape and better in bed. I enjoy getting myself off a couple of times a week.

Why would you assume that? Is it based on what your read on DCUM? If that's the case, you should rethink. If a woman (or man) enjoyed sex in their 20s-30s, why would they not enjoy it at older ages? Translation: he could get younger, hotter, tighter and wouldn't commit to my saggy old ass. Sad!
Harsh, but the reality is that his expectations are only unrealistic if they cannot be met.
I might think that a woman is being unrealistic if she is only willing to marry billionaires. But if her name Rihanna, it's not unrealistic at all.

I'm 42 y/o and I'd run for the hills unless he has $3+mm cash. 10 years in dementia care at $10K/month plus the adult children's money expectations would mean he has to have serious money left for me. I have a toddler and know a lot of moms my age and older with small kids, so taking care of an elderly spouse, small children, and aging parents would be too much to handle. I also enjoy sex and a 61 y/o man is on his last leg, sorry. There's so much Viagra can do.
Long story short, nope unless super wealthy and almost dead. None of my single 40 something girlfriends dream of men over 50.

I am not the PP but at age 50 I am in better shape than I was at 30. Nothing droops, and I have better and stronger muscles and as much stamina. I do have a lot of grey hair now but that is easily fixed.
Then I would make an exception for you. It isn't that I choose 40s as the age I want, I just choose women who haven't fallen apart, or aged beyond their years from, lack of exercise, smoking, etc. They tend to mostly be in their 40s and no, they aren't in it for the money. That's not me.
