Same way her future MIL, Camilla, who is divorced, became a royal. The Queen of Spain is also a divorcee and a former news anchor. First lady of Canada was a tv reporter and gasp! a yoga instructor.


Most members of the royal family are divorced. The queen's deceased sister was divorced and so are three of her four children. It's not exactly rare within the family.

NP. I wouldn't even call her his former aunt. She's the mother of his cousins, and she lives with Andrew, his uncle. To all intents and purposes, she is his aunt. I think it would be odd not to invite her. Harry's wedding isn't an event of state.
