You're not going to get in trouble, PP. But the teacher might get in trouble. It's not a position I'd put a teacher I liked into. But, as you say, YMMV.

Then open a thread about flexible seating. It would attract other people who are interested in flexible seating and you wouldn't be off-topic on a thread about holiday gifts.

Does that mean we should keep wandering off topic any opportunity we have? I am relatively new - the RMES#5 boundary discussion brought me in. That thread stayed on topic for the most part.
