If anyone asked, I would say it was for her to by supplies for the classroom.
Unclench. This is not the federal government. It is First Grade.
1. You
2. The teacher
3. Anybody you told
4. Anybody the teacher told
5. Anybody anybody else told
Well, I have told everyone here on DCUM. Feel free to report me.![]()
Other than that, I'm not discussing gifts with other parents. YMMV. Do you really go around telling people what you're giving the teacher?

What else is there to discuss? The question was, is there a limit? And the answer is $20. But some parents give a little more, others give less. Others give nothing. The end.
+1. This is not a complex issue. I much prefer the flexible seating discussion.
Then open a thread about flexible seating. It would attract other people who are interested in flexible seating and you wouldn't be off-topic on a thread about holiday gifts.
You must be new around here. 90% of the threads on DCUM go off topic.
Does that mean we should keep wandering off topic any opportunity we have? I am relatively new - the RMES#5 boundary discussion brought me in. That thread stayed on topic for the most part.
