Trump told you from the start he could do anything he wanted and his supporters would still be there cheering him on. He;s not just a political figure to them, He is their god, and because of that they treat him as an infallible being whose actions are never to be questioned.

Besides being a rude comment to say to someone whose husband has been blown to bits, Trump's words indicate a dangerous attitude towards people in combat. If you can rationalize that these men 'knew what they were signing up for,' you won't feel as bad when they are killed and might not take as much care to avoid conflicts. Trump doesn't get that for many people, like immigrants who join the military to get citizenship and people who join up straight out of high school because they can't afford college, the military is the best and sometimes the only prospect of advancement they have. If they had the opportunities and inherited wealth Trump had, they may have chosen a safer career.

It's easy to record things with a smart phone. Not out of the realm of possibility that a recording surfaces. I hope it does. Let Americans hear the sobs of a widow grieving for her husband who was killed in combat. There are too many warmongering chicken hawks in power today who have no idea what it means to lose someone in battle because they've never served in the military.

But, the family has not made any comment. The only comment was from a Democratic Congresswoman.

Because the Democrats and the press have been against President Trump since before inauguration.
The fact that this Rep chose to make his comments public is shameful. SHE is making this political.
And, many of us doubt the veracity of her claim.

Racists were against Obama since before his inauguration too. That had no effect on whether I agreed with his policies or not.
So--you can't disagree with anything Trump does because other people dislike him?

The same social filter applies to soldiers, police, or fire fighters.
