He had a trust from her and then bought bitcoin at some point at the right time so that he was way up at the time of the fire, IIRC.

9 years in jail is a long time. He got what he deserved.

This crime was a bad one and the perpetrator should be punished for it. I’m not advocating for letting this guy off the hook, I’m advocating for lower sentences for lesser crimes.

Agree that the sentence should have been much longer. He was making essentially a slave dig these incredibly unsafe tunnels.

It is crazy. He didn’t even mention that Facebook has 10x more data on us than the govt, and far fewer enforced checks and balances.
In the NSA, if you look up your ex’s file, you get disciplined.
