What total BS. Middle class pay more for healthcare, but they can afford it. They may not like their premiums, but they pay them. The poor CAN'T pay them. Period. The poor go without health care, or at least they did before the ACA.

Every single anti ACA poster on this board has whined about how their premiums have risen since Obamacare was passed. So what? So you pay a little more, so what? I'm happy to pay more so poor people get coverage. I can't turn a blind eye to the suffering of my fellow humans, and by paying a little more for health insurance, I'm allowing them to get healthcare, which is humane and right.

I am sure the poor would disagree with you and would happily trade places and not be poor.

But since you have clearly never been poor, you wouldn't understand that.

(no one who has ever been poor would have written what you wrote)

Neither is my health coverage real at the ridiculous sky higj premiums I am paying under Aca. Affordable my ass. They better do something or I'll kick them out of office. There are just as many of us who have been hurt. Y this monstrosity as you who claim that it is your saving grace. It needs a full repeal

Objectively, I don't believe that's true. Not saying it should matter to you if you are one of the people who has been hurt, but it's objectively not true. The people who will vote for this repeal bill represent a lot of people who were better off under ACA.

ACA made very little difference to my insurance, aside from providing me with a free breast pump and no co-pays on a few things. This bill would make it possible for my pre-existing condition (genetic) not to be covered even by an employer plan. As in, this bill will hurt a lot more people than the ACA might have.

The Republicans have been very careful to keep this bill under the radar. They want to vote on it before the cost of it has been determined. Crazy and evil.

You sound like Republicans are going to kill us all or the sick people for sure. Great. We all are going to die.

Just making so a pregnancy will cost 17k, breast cancer will cost 140k and will raise premiums 20% from where it is now.

How is that better?

https://amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jun/26/koch-network-piggy-banks-closed-republicans-healthcare-tax-reform

So the Koch's are withholding GOP money until the ACA is repealed. Not one GOP Senator can give an articulate reason or rationale as to how this bill improves things for the average American.

GOP rank and file are being completely played.

So wouldn't "America First" suggest that we use some of that money to take care of the quality of life and general welfare of US citizens?

Maybe "America First" means not paving the way for countries whose leaders yell "death to America" to get the financing they need to build nuclear weaponry.

Right now, Iran is part of the global community as it hasn't been since before 1979. The population has been demanding a moderation of their government, and it has been successful. So you want to throw that out the window because why? They already have the money, so by pulling out that will have been completely wasted.

So we too could have more to spend on our nation's health and welfare if the military budget were shrunk? Interesting.

Fuck these endless manufactured wars. If our President would quit provoking through his tweets, and USA finally started minding their own business we also could skimp on defense.

You can't really blame the war thing on Trump. We kept our wars going full throttle throughout Obama's 8 years.

Didn't Obama try to pull the US out of Iraq and shutdown Guantanamo? It was Trump that created the surge in the first 6 months of his presidency.

Obama did surges too. Also, as commander in chief, if Obama's wanted to pull out of Iraq, he could have pulled out of Iraq.

+1 Instead, Trump wants to increase the military budget, send more troops to the ME, and cut taxes for the rich.
