Am I remembering correctly and did Stoddert have a super dangerous collection of gigantic slides? I would sneak off to use them when we were here for my brothers' soccer games.

Replaced by skateboards and rollerblades, then rock climbing and ATVs. Give me a see saw any ol' day.

I LOVED these playgrounds and never recall anyone getting more than an occasional bump.
