30 & 31, 200k combined in our 401ks and IRAs. We don't yet max out but are working towards it. We may be behind by some standards but we are comfortable with where we are at.

I'm 35. I have $900k. I'm not sure this is going to be enough. I wish I had more at this point in my career.

45, 700k. I have work to do on it.

32 and DH is 35. We have 175k together but a net worth of 950k.

36: $165K (started working later, period of unemployment, always maxed but never had a match)
DH 37: $225K (started working younger, good match, didn't max until recently)

We're putting away $50k/year now; we'll likely be fine. But I have serious jealousy toward people with employers that match.

41 combined 401ks at $300k plus $450k in stock and $100k savings. Haven't out a penny in 529s yet. Still figuring out if it's worth it.

I wasted my youth on travel and PhD, so this represents minor sputterings of savings in my 20s and starting in earnest in mid 30s. DH worked longer, but retired early this year.

I am 36 and have $100k in my 401k. Super behind, I know, but I have been maxing the last two years.

However, the online calculator I used said I am on track to retire at 63. That doesn’t make sense to me.
