You might want to reconsider being friend with anyone who more disposable income than you. It sounds like that is a major irritant to you. There’s no point being irritated. But your friend is just living her life and probably doesn’t know the spite you feel toward her. Do her a favor and unfriend her.

Travel is essential. Wtf you supppsed to post on FB then? Picture of your old pants?

Sounds rude but I agree! Nothing criminal in sharing your emotions and happiness with friends and relatives, another thing is when your "friends" just jealous and suspecting you in boasting and are fake and insincere I also don't mind some Photoshop effects (like https://www.templatemonster.com/blog/free-photoshop-gradient-sets/ ) as been mentioned above but yes, I don't correct body and face and don't mind if someone does. Just none of my business.

Agreed!

A PP was right, people would side-eye just a pic of your new BMW or Range Rover or whatever, but if you stick your kid in front of it and take pictures it's somehow ok. But other people just don't realize that their stuff is much nicer than others.

Anyway, those are stealth brags. Humblebrags are more like, "ugh my voice sounded so annoying on my interview on the local news this morning!"

You can tell the stealth brag by the perfectly captured car emblem or bag logo. Because candid snaps that just happen to catch something nice in the background are rarely nicely framed and in focus.

i had a relative post her daughter's first paystub from her first "real" post college job. it wasn't really a humble brag, just a good old fashioned crass regular degular brag. anyway, my sister privately messaged her and said it may not be wise b/c of the information visible on the check. she defriended my sister and eventually me. this woman is in her 40s.

i actually like to hear about my friends job promotions and life accomplishments (having kids, moving to a new city, etc.). somehow posting material possessions "Ugh, my BMW got towed" (with a picture included) seems coarse and unnecessary.

Oh well! Haters gonna hate!

I'd agree with this except for the immature 'haters gonna hate ' jab. But something tells me OP wasn't necessarily referring to rock solid 1% denizens but their imitators or wanna-be , this isn't to say 1 percenters aren't a bunch of narcissists who engage in this sort of behavior

This.

And if seeing your friends and family being happy and successful upsets you, then perhaps you should ask yourself why...and seek therapy.
