Also, how many young trans kids do you even know? What's your sample size here?

That they look like idiots?

Really? How many non-trans kids do you know aged under 10 with non-natural hair color? How many six year olds?

My former MIL took my DD to a salon when she was 6 and got her hair dyed pink-it was very bright. I dyed my hair in high school, so it's not something I'm opposed to AND I think 6 is too young to be getting expensive salon services. Whatever, it wasn't worth arguing with my ex about. My daughter loved it and it wasn't a problem at school.

My kid has had blue bangs since age 8. He’s now 11.

It is not unusual at his school or our temple or our neighborhood. I’d venture to say it has not been unusual since, oh, 1982.

They’re kids. They’re enjoying color and creativity and having fun. Don’t make it any more than that.

Confused. . .

The Catholic school where I teach has kids and teachers with dyed hair. Why wouldn't they allow it?

Because Jesus, duh. And...maybe Mary...I guess...

( hint- Catholics can be repressive)

I am totally unclear how your post follows on mine. Did you read mine?

How do you know they are trying to be different? Is it just the non preppy kids you feels this way about or do you have the same snarky attitude about kids who follow other fads like wearing certain brands of clothing?

I asked some. They said they were trying to be different. But keep dancing your "I'm superior" dance if it makes you feel happy.

I am a DP and my kids always went to private schools. None of our schools would allow the kid to come with colored hair. I assume pp not familiar with public schools.

How do you know they are “trying to be different”? Do you have an equally snarky & critical opinion of kids following other fads (wearing certain types of expensive clothing or shoes for example) or just the non preppy ones?

Unless they/their parents are all close to your kids/you, how do you know whether or not the all or even most of kids you see with non-natural hair colors are LGBTQ?

FWIW, I am straight & I had green streaks on my hair as an elementary schooler in the ‘90s/early ‘00s.

All sexes and non LGBTQ kids like all the hair color too. It's a popular fad with all the kids.
