Go slow on your career so you have more control over your choices, don't just stick with the first job you get because it pays well.

Get a graduate degree.

Worry less about what other people think.

Don't give your artistic dreams.

Wear sunscreen 365. Don't tan, stay out of the sun and tanning beds.

Hey, you know the cute blond who works in the office near you? Yeah, that one. Oh, you don't think dating someone you work near is a good idea? Get over it! You will marry her in a few years so you might as well get started right now. Other than that you'll do fine.

Do not go to law school. You own your own little business and it supports you already and would grow.

Last time I checked, this was America. Money, money, money. Make money, marry money, hoard money. It makes everything else manageable.

All this jibber jabber you read here about traveling and having kids when you're young and doing work you love - those all can happen with enough money. All the people I know who have those things had money.

The more adventures you have, the more interesting you become. Never fathered any children and knew in my 30's that I didn't want any. At 66, I don't regret it. Messed up gene pool and it ends with me. The friends I have or had, were people I've known for decades. The friends I've lost, either from death or who drifted away, I miss, deeply. There were roads and opportunities not taken, as were romantic possibilities with wonderful women.

I'm not a typical man and I've lived my life following an atypical path. Regrets? Yes. But some things happened which were beyond my control and I'm still trying to keep this ship from sinking. Don't give in to your age and don't let the challenges of life drag you down. The only time the possibilities end is when you breathe your last breath.

Drink more water and less alcohol - your skin will thank you!

Max out your 401 K and savings

Don't get a frumpy haircut to be professional or look grown up (I don't think people really do this anymore, but just in case this trend returns - what a waste to be hot in my 20s and early 30s with a Meg Ryan bob or Courtney Cox friends haircut - ugh)!
