We took a 15 month old so my answer is yes! Lots of farms and beaches - great food and great music in nearly every restaurant - and very sweet and friendly Cuban kids. Our private tour guide even had us over to his house to have my DD play with his son!





So in other words, you are seeing the 'special' Cuba, like people see the 'special' China and the 'special' parts of other communist countries. Then you come back reporting how wonderful it is.

Exciting to go one of the poorest islands in the Caribbean, with the worst food? Not exciting at all. Many Canadian's find Cuba low class and travel to real destinations instead.

I guess I didn't see them. It's been a few years now. I have moved on to better vacations, like Cayman. Cuba is for the budget traveller.


Ohhh, that is good to know! I love budget travel. Spent 3 weeks in Tanzania this summer, incredible budget travel experience. Definitly HATE resort travel, especially Caribbean (likr Cayman) but cuba really intrigues me. It's either Cuba or Belize.
