Honestly, my first assumption would be white American parents trying to be "yoonique." Wouldn't be surprised to find out it was a foreign language/ethnic name, though.


The child I know with a very, very, very similar name - one parent is from a Spanish-speaking country, the other parent is from a Muslim country (trying to be as vague as possible here).
