The predictions were wrong of course. And you've cited a single example without describing any details. Not convincing at all.
That's odd...I could have sworn this article was written like three days ago: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/09/us/california-farmers-backed-trump-but-now-fear-losing-field-workers.html
But in conversations with nearly a dozen farmers, most of whom voted for Mr. Trump, each acknowledged that they relied on workers who provided false documents. And if the administration were to weed out illegal workers, farmers say their businesses would be crippled. Even Republican lawmakers from the region have supported plans that would give farmworkers a path to citizenship. “If you only have legal labor, certain parts of this industry and this region will not exist,”
"Farmers here have faced a persistent labor shortage for years, in part because of increased policing at the border and the rising prices charged by smugglers who help people sneak across. The once-steady stream of people coming from rural towns in southern Mexico has nearly stopped entirely. The existing field workers are aging, and many of their children find higher-paying jobs outside agriculture."
But I'm not sure if a trump voting farmer dependent on undoc'd workers saying they'll absolutely lose/go out of business if these deportations continue would be convincing enough for you![]()

Perhaps he did, I know he let more illegals in than any other president and tragically failed americas poor by not securing his country's borders. It's nice to have someone in charge who loves all Americans again, both rich and poor.
According to internal documents obtained by Reuters, Immigration and Customs Enforcement is planning a second round of raids in a 30 day surge beginning later this month.
About 100 people in Virginia are on that list.
“It’s not fair! I don’t have a criminal record, I live in the country almost 11 years,” said a woman who spoke with WUSA9 on the condition of anonymity.
According to internal documents obtained by Reuters, ICE is planning a second round of raids (the first was in January) with a 30 day surge beginning in May focusing on women and children who were told to leave the country.
ICE is targeting undocumented immigrants who had deportation orders and were no shows in court. An ICE spokesperson said they cannot “confirm or deny the existence of specific law enforcement actions.” But she said undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. after January 2014 are priorities for removal.”

We can't find and keep Americans. We make anywhere from minimum to $30 and hour. We are always short of workers, and some of you are talking about sending the farmhands home?! Good one.
"Illegals" subsidize your lettuce, tomatoes and broccoli.
Many of them are the descendants of Native Americans. This is actually their land. It's the white man who came to their land divided the Americas. What land has straight lines unless somebody took the ruler to it?! The nerve white man has.
Esol? America has saved plenty of money by not teaching foreign languages to their own children. They can use it on ESOL now, and ESOL lasts only 1-3 years.
But seriously, I've lived here 20 years now and know only a handful of Americans who can carry a conversation in another language. What a waste of time and money.
I see 3-year old immigrants speak 2 with no problem on the playground. No money spent whatsoever.
For those who still think they are missing some money because of "illegals", ask the companies who benefit form them.
By the way, I truly believe Melania broke few immigration law and should be sent home. What she did is not hard at all. Many Europeans do it. I've done it twice, but somehow still ended up legal just like her. Melania and I are legal (and white) therefore we are better than them.

I work as a public interest lawyer and frequently encounter undocumented immigrants in my work. I have found most of this population to be hardworking and committed to their families. What is your personal experience with this population? I am asking sincerely.
