Just heard of a boy named Artho. Why not name him Arthur? I have a nephew named Angus and his name has not served him well.

Actually, I think that birthday is pretty cool. Every four years you get a special party! Our niece is born 2/29 and hasn't stopped her from celebrating her birthday! One teacher told my DD was turning 11 and then we figured out his birthday is February 29th! You discover the fountain of youth

I think around December 19-January 9 is really bad for a birthday. If we had one of ours around then we would have planned on celebrating a half bday in the summer.

Worked in the newborn nursery years ago and remember a mom who named her son Liam after his father (William). She insisted it was to be pronounced "Yum" because William without the Wil is, of course, pronounced Yum.

Worst birth month is December, likely due to my feelings of having a 12/25 birthday.

Oh I dunno. I have a leap cousin and I think it can be fun. Lots of ways to make it cool. I know one guy who is like in his 30s but last leap day he got like, a skateboard because he was turning '8' or something.

I also think it would be tough to be named Jesus, if you aren't hispanic at least. For different reasons of course. Any name of extreme note is somewhat difficult.

I think December and July/August are the worst. December for the holidays, July/August cause everyone's on vacation and can't come to your party.

I am a February birthday and love it. It's close to nothing, not that many people have birthdays in it so you aren't competing. And you can always spring for a surprise trip to the tropics!

Worst names, boy names for girls.

Basically any hyphenated or made up names like D'Shon or Alazaye. Look only rich people can get away with outrageous names. A regular Joe or Susan naming their child Northwest, Snow, Tyquan, Kylo Ren (and yes I know someone who named their baby Kylo Ren) , etc. will always have their parenting judge. Also, poor kid will get discriminated against because some people will assume that the family is either low class or crazy as Hell.

I think the worst month to be born in depends on the climate or region that you live in. Your birthday party may get cancelled because of a snowstorm or blizzard if its during the winter. Winter months can suck and really put a damper on birthday celebrations if you reside in certain regions of the country. January in San Diego is different than January in Buffalo.

Oh yeah, that would be a pain in the ass. My birthday is in January and it was sometimes disappointing as a kid because often my parties would be snowed out, but otherwise not really a big deal. My family was good about making it distinct from Christmas.

As for names, agree with the "stripper" names for girls (Champagne, Tawnie, etc) and the names like Adoplph for boys. Also, spelling names like Xavier "Exavyer". There was one of these in my son's preschool a few years ago, ugh.

I remember a SNL skit a bunch of years ago with Nick Cage and his name was Asswipe, which he pronounced az-weep-ay.
