Oh good, received the book as a Christmas present, finishing up a book will read it next! I love John Grisham and have read all of his books.

That is a good book. I read it while living in Norway, so it made it special in some way to me.

So many good ones on here! I was going to say Pillars of the Earth, but I will go with Kristin Lavransdatter since it's not been mentioned yet. Saw it recommended here 8 years ago or so while I was on bed rest and have reread it a couple times now. Long, long book and especially touching if you have children.

OP - have you read Phantom Tollbooth? If not, you should too, even though it's for a younger audience. It gets better the older you get!

Okay so I Amazon Primed - Brothers K, Glass Castle and Prayer for Owen Meany. Also Phantom Toll Booth for DS.

I actually put most of the suggested books in my Save For Later cart, so eventually they will be ordered as I finish reading the other books.

You may be my soul mate. I adore that book and have given it to all of my nieces and nephews. It is such a universal message, especially for those of us who are not the most secure people in the world. I read it in middle school and have read it several times as an adult and it gets better with each read.
