I didn't tell him about the dates per se, I just said I had plans to go out tonight, vague.

OP- you stated earlier that you had dated lined up already for tonight and Saturday.

Did you tell him that when he asked about your weekend plans? Or did you hint that you'd be free to see him?

OP here
We texted a little bit this afternoon but then he had to go back to work. Nothing major, but did ask what my plans are this weekend. Then he had to go. I played it cool. No text fking that sounds painful

When my parents met (in 1969), my dad asked for my mom's number, but didn't call her for more than a week. She thought he wasn't interested. I don't remember the real reason - he may have been seeing someone else and needed to end it - but they've been married 45 years. He was definitely interested.

Are you waiting until the afternoon because you're busy until then? Or are you purposely delaying your response so as to ostensibly make him wait as a dating ploy? Or because he made you wait and this is payback?

Text him back now if you want. Nothing wrong with answering naturally and genuinely - and you know you want to.

We texted back and forth a few times and I had to go (I'm in emergency medicine), he texted this morning to say good morning. So maybe it's coming?

Holy Moly, he texted me last night!
No mention of my Message, so I'm not saying a word.

Now, messaging repeatedly if he doesn't answer or finding out where he works and emailing his work account, that's another story.
