Nothing.
This is a failure of monumental proportions of our education system, which has not been able to educate people to read and think critically, and distinguish truth from lies.
We've already gotten what we want, my dear. What we wanted was to put liberals in their place!!!!!

HRC was perceived as even more irritatingly smart (what a know-it-all girl!) and Trump was the guy you'd grab a burger with, tell an off-color joke with, and maybe grab some asses while you're at it.
Bush gave us the biggest economic disaster since the Great Depression, and an unwinnable (and expensive) war in Iraq that created the vacuum for the rise of one of the most horrific terrorist groups ever.
When will Americans get over the notion that they should vote for the kid that makes them laugh, rather than the smart kid? This is the future of the world, not the 5th grade student council.

As a white middle class person with a professional job complete with employee provided health care, the reality is that my day-to-day existence will see relatively little impact from a Trump win.
I vote for democrats not for immediate personal gain, but becauae I genuinely believe...
Folks in lower level manufacturing/retail jobs benefit from policies that promote livable wages, benefits and job security.
Folks need health care, and we need to help save people from catatrophic financial and health risks by providing insurance.
Apparently, my concern for these individuals and my beliefs on what would help them are not welcome by these individuals, and is in fact outright rejected.
These folks now have at least 2 years, maybe more, of virtually no holds on their ability to put in place the policies they are convinced will better serve them.
If they truly are better off as a result of this administration and Congress, please believe I will be glad, as my votes have always been made not in a spirit of protection, but rather improving the welfare of the entire country.
You do realize that under Obama's policies, the rich got rich and everyone else.... not so much,

Anonymous wrote:Did you really think you could spend 8+ years smugly proclaiming yourselves better than everyone else, especially those "flyover" people? Then you nominate a candidate no one likes, with tons of baggage, and just expect the "deplorables" you mock to hand you the White House. Nope. The next time you feel smug about someone else or want to tweet self-congratulatory nonsense about your liberal bona fides, remember: YOU are the reason Trump won.

I'll be laughing inside the whole time. Seeing that arrogance cut down just makes me gleeful inside.
BTW, I sure hope those obnoxious and toxic celebs that promised to move to Canada if Trump won are packing their bags. The sooner we're done of Lena Dunham and her shove-rocks-into-her-sisters-vajayjay ilk, the better!
Why can't you be honest with your friends about your political views? Maybe there's a reason for you to be ashamed.
