I think PP is referring to the wives tale that single women who own dogs put peanut butter on their bodies for the dog to lick off.
We have some good friends that have a Golden Retriever. Whenever they have company over they will fill his natural bone chew toy with peanut butter and the dog will spend the entire evening by himself trying to lick it out.

Op you want to meet a woman who is in her mid 40's, is happy, attractive, fit, active, not devoted to a pet, not a drinker....
Honestly, I would throw myself into the activities that you like to do and see if you can meet someone with similar interests.
If you're meeting nothing but cat snuggling, wine sipping, home bodies who like to put their feet up after dinner and watch Netflicks..... and have zero interest in getting up at the crack of dawn to run a marathon, then I would say that you are not looking in the right places for compatible women.

Dating at 41 is hard for most people I know. People do often find love but you have to kiss a lot of frogs first. At this age you are generally trading the spouse you rejected for the one someone else rejected.
I don't think it's unreasonable to consider that the grass may not be greener on the other side. You may decide that it's worth it to put in the extra work to make the current relationship better.
