Trash is picked up, snow is removed, libraries are actually open, and there are no squashed rats on my street. That's progress.
Trash and filth cover most of DC. You probably live in North Cleveland Park with Popville. Try going east of the park someday.
I live in NW EOTP and my snow is always plowed, trash is picked up, pools are awesome. Where the hell do you live that trash covers most the city?
1991.

It's typical for this website. Such people just cannot help themselves.

Not every U.S. City is the capitol of the USA.
The pathetic condition of DC over the past 4 decades is a national (and international) disgrace.

Let's not be willfully stupid. I am well aware that VA and MD have a role in Metro. I am also aware that DC wields disproportionate control over managing Metro and hiring the useless incompetents that work for Metro. Let's not pretend otherwise and embarrass ourselves.
Well you're wrong. DC acrually has less of a vote, if you combine the county votes to make MD and VA. The votes are allocated to the counties that have stations, both MD and VA governors appoint a representative, and congress now appoints a representative. Congress did not always have a seat at the board, but they demanded such a couple years ago as a condition of funding aid.
You must be right, all the incompetents at Metro are from VA and MD. ?
Comprehension fail on your part. The point is that DC doesn't have any more control over Metro than your beloved MOCO or FFX. They are all responsible, but for years VA delegates refused to do what was necessary to maintain proper upkeep, which led to a slow deterioration of a once functioning and inexpensive system. It wasn't until they wanted the extension to Tyson's that VA began paying attention their collective responsibilities.
Wrong. Metro is a jobs program for DC. Always has been. Don't try to blame VA, or MD, or $, or anything else.
Really? Cause I'm pretty sure most of the employees live in MD and VA.

DCPS is so horrendous that President Obama wouldn't dare subject his children to even the very best school DCPS has to offer.
