+2 My kids were attacked by a pack of (like 7) off leash dogs who were about 300 yards up hill ahead of their absolutely insane dog walker from Virginia. One kid was pinned down by a dog twice his size and my little one was frozen nose to nose with a snarling bull dog. Terrifying. So now my kids hate dogs. Great.
In the RCP trails?
A "snaring bull dog"? Bull dogs are the most gentle breed I he world. Story is made up.

What an ass. Call 911 on this ass. If the dog is off leash and the owner won't restrain the animal, call 911. Done.
You're sick. 911 is for emergencies, not bedwetting.
It's up to the operator to determine if it warrants police action, not you. An aggressive dog can absolutely be an emergency. Don't be obtuse.
That's not what the PP recommended. He said call 911 if you merely see an off leash dog.

It sounds like your dogs where the ones that became aggressive (at least from what you wrote)....but I totally agree that all dogs should be leashed regardless of disposition.

I encounter this at least twice on every walk. And each time they are constantly giving unheeded verbal commands. They essentially let their dogs run everywhere but think an occasional,"Barkley, now, don't do that." Is doing anything. There is something about owning a dog that brings out the most inconsiderate behavior in some people.
