OP here. I truly appreciate the suggestions! You've got my wheels turning, at least. 
It seems like boys names are either boring, trendy, or nerdy. Does anyone find so many boy names to be dorky? Colin, Neil...they just sound so dull to me.
As for trendy (Woodrow, Everett, Emerson)...we aren't trendy at all.
And maybe I've dated too many guys but that rules out a lot of names! Evan, Patrick, Clay...
I'll probably start a new thread and get reactions on these names:

LOL. NP here. My 3 month DS is also a Nolan and I thought the same thing! It's a good name, suits him well.

My son is Gabriel, the ONLY boy's name DH and I both liked a lot. Agree that boy's names are tougher. There doesn't seem to be as much middle ground between the classics and the ones that someone, somewhere will think are trashy. (E.g., Hunter, which a PP nominated and which I don't hate either).
Don't do Henry if you're looking to avoid trendy. I know at least five between the ages of 1 and 5.
