I don't do it because I can't pull it off but I certainly knew it was a styling choice and not some model showing what a shirt might look like for tucked in or not tucked in wtf? This explains a lot about some of the posts and choices on this forum.

Cropped tops have been in with the high waisted jeans, so nothing to tuck!

I like a half tuck, myself.

I'm short, and large busted. No tucking in for me, because then people only stare at my boobs. But the half tuck gives me a little bit of shape/waist, hides my little bit of a belly, and makes me feel confident. Have been doing it since puberty over 40 years now

If it's subtle, 6 in. or less of a tail, it can look good. But having a long panel of fabric hanging down one leg looks sloppy or silly.

It looks sloppy.

I really like it too, same body type. On me it's more flattering than either a loose shirt (no waist) or a full tuck (unforgiving, emphasizes belly)

I do it inadvertently. Long torso. Can’t seem to keep anything fully tucked all day, ever. Super annoying.

I'm French and have never heard of this. Is it in the same category as French toast and French fries? Nothing to do with France?

I think it's named after Tan France of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. (Is he still on that show? Is that show still running?) Either he invented it or he promoted it.

I never see this in real life!
