You want to hear about my bad morning? I had an important meeting in SE DC at 8:00 AM; the results of my presentation were to be presented to the Joint Chiefs that afternoon.

At 1:00 AM, I woke up with extreme abdominal pain, passed out, fell on the floor and broke my nose. DW calls 911; they take me to the hospital...scan me to find the cause of pain. At 5 am the ER doctor comes in, and tells me they think the pain was gas. But, incidentally, we found an 8 cm mass -- probably a tumor -- on your kidney.

That is a bad morning (oh, I got someone to cover for me at the briefing.).

Meanwhile, two hours later, our neighbor picks up her little girl (18 months), and feels something in the abdomen. Also a tumor.

OP's used to it. She got the same reaction to her other complaints.

Also, who the hell fries canned tuna?

Not only fries it and then packs a hot tuna sandwich for work? This is why you were late? I don't understand...sorry.

IT WAS LIGHTLY FRIED.

OP, you realize you are the person in your office who comes in smelling like FISH and everyone HATES you because you stink at 9am.

I love when my coworker schedules a meeting and rushes in late whining about her commute and smelling of fried tuna and turmeric. Could be because I live close in though where alarm clocks works and agents of chaos like "bad nights" don't impede my ability to adult.

OP, do you train the tuna juice or let it come to a boil in the pan while you lightly fry?

No, she keeps the window rolled down during her long commute to "de-funkify" herself. Next week she'll be complaining about how her allergies are bothering her from the long, open air commute because her damn husband won't move to the city.

Get some time mgmt classes to improve in that area.

You needed to leave the house at 7:30am not get up then.

And you should have known cooking was not an option in the morning because there would not be enough time.

Living in closed will not solve your problems, learning time management will.

I live close in. On a no traffic at all day I can get to my downtown office in 10 minutes. ON a traffic day, it's anywhere from 30- 45 mins. When I had to do daycare drop off it was more like an hour for the morning commute despite picking a daycare on my route to the office.

Except OP was late for work---her office mates were spared for a while!

If this is happening regularly, you really need to rethink your morning routine!

If this is a one off, it's OK to vent, and not a big deal.

Poor thing! Poor folks in suits too! Poor you, PP. What did you do???

PP here ... yeah, felt most sorry for the fellow passengers. Also, the future ones as we couldn't get them to stop the train to clean it (no-one at the station and it was so crowded) ... the doors just closed and went on with that all over the floor.

I was pregnant and sitting far enough away (DH was standing with baby), so I went on to work. DH had to take himself and baby home (missed a day of work) since she was obviously sick by then (seemed perfectly fine before that). I caught the illness a few days later. Never been so sick in my life.

I can only imagine how OP would cope!

+1 here, my husband is on business travel. I woke up at 6am. I spent the morning rushing around trying to get myself and the kids ready. Managed to accomplish this, then my 3 year old let the dog out and decided to go outside w/ her, no shoes on, got covered in mud the required a change. We finally make it into the car and then get stuck in some of the worst traffic ever! an hour and 20 mins to go 8 miles! Then while we are stuck in this traffic my 3 year old tells me he has to go potty and I am literally stuck and can't get anywhere for him to go, we of course have an accident. We arrive at school where I have to spend 20 mins changing him and getting him settled down since he is embarrassed about his accident. I then get to my work building and I am told there are no more spots left in the parking garage. I then spend 30 mins driving around trying to find something. I have no luck and decide I am parking in a grocery store garage and hoping to hell I have not been towed at the end of the day! OP, this is also what a BAD MORNING looks like. I am just trying to give you some prospective.

Ok, we get it. Start your own thread with your bad morning. The point isn't to compare yours to hers. OP's issues are so NOT about what actually happened this morning. She's posted before and has other issues.

Stop silencing OP's voice!
