applied for middle. no email. a bit disappointed. always knew admission was a long shot but i did suspect my dc might get accepted. seemed like the right place for him, i have to say. we would have needed significant aid to attend. no idea if that figured in. maybe all for the best, in the end.

Did the callers phone the LS? GDS needs to get its act together.

My prayer is that it was only middle and high school. I haven't seen any responses one way or the other for lower school, which is what I am still hoping for.

Left hand, meet right hand. Right hand, this is left hand.

Based on when all of the accepted posts happened, it seems that GDS sent the emails at 11 am. I also called and was told in no uncertain terms that they do not send emails. I have no idea why they would not be honest about communicating acceptances through emails. The only thing I can think of is that the admissions office sent the emails without informing the front desk staff.

Not a sibling and got a GDS email with a link to the contract and then a second asking to register accepted students day.

Received an email at 11am that DC accepted for 9th. Also received a follow up email from Barbara Eghan.

That is seriously messed up if they are outright lying to people. Why not just send folks to voicemail? I would question the ethics of the school if this is really happening.

Or could the emails only be going to sibling applicants?

How about this? Will someone actually post their email? Of course, hide your info private, but I'd love to see the email that the school is denying sending out.

It makes no sense that a school would lie when asked directly about whether they sent emails. They did use an online application site. Perhaps it generated emails automatically?

Agree - a portal would be preferable!

I am sorry but it sounds like GDS is really a crazy process. Why don't they use a portal. I feel terrible for these families who seem to be getting misinformation
.

This is SO CRAZY!!! I just called, too, & they are standing by 'no emails'. Said that if you did not get an email, that it is NOT true that you were not accepted, & do not believe that. I don't know what to believe.

I think it's their practice to stick by the "we sent out emails" response. I highly doubt all of these people are lying about getting emails. We didn't receive one, so I've prepared for the fact that it is a no.
