Not the PP, but I fully agree and think OP should apologize. In her eagerness to find bigotry, she incorrectly accused people of being anti-gay. That is a serious accusation, and wholly unfounded. But rather than apologize, she'll just go on that she doesn't know why the boys chose a particular victory song. How about getting to the actual point and acknowledging that you slandered people on no basis?

I went to Catholic Schools for 12 years. I know that "back in the day" this sort of name calling would not have been tolerated. it does seem that there are different rules for the affluent (and I'm affluent now even though I didn't grow up that way).

These are the words to the chorus of the song, which is their victory song. I have a son at STA and he is very open minded about gay marriage etc and doesn't think twice about it and neither do his friends. It is a pretty open minded diverse group of young men and there are many liberals there. I apologize if you misunderstood the situation and thank you for speaking out, because if it were true, it should be addressed. I really think though in this particular situation, you misunderstood the song and situation.

I think there is something more going on with you and that you have an agenda here. Those are the words to the song and it is their song and you are not only reading something into it that is not there, you are trying to besmirch the reputation of boys at these two schools. In this particular incident, you misread the situation so set a good example for the boys and apologize that you misread the situation.

Op, those are the words to the song! If you are going to take the time to post a controversial thread, then you should at least take the time to read the replies. Several people have posted on here explaining to you that they sing that song all the time in the locker room and it is their song. Maybe an apology that you were confused and misread the situation. A team adopted it as a victory song and that is all. When I was playing high school sports we used Prince songs mostly. Talk about racy.

1) Please listen to the song, and you'll hear it is not reworded, and you are incorrect.
2) Why does it matter what song they chose as a victory song? I personally find it funny they chose such a random, satirical song by a comedian.
