Between $130 and $200k. We are 36 and 37. DH's salary is commission based and I do very part time project-based contract work, so our income varies. We have 3 kids and I'm home during the day, so no day care costs. Most of our peers make way more than us. It's hard not to compare, but I am thankful for what we have. We make more than most of the world.

We're 32/33 and our household income should be 250k this year. We're in IT and healthcare IT.

When I was your age (we are a little older, semi-wiser now) our HHI was around $300K. Then, the recession hit and it was cut in half. Luckily we lived below our means and were able to ride things out. We are now up to about $250K. We have no student loans or debt other than our mortgage. I never knew what our neighbors or friends made and never cared.

31/32. We made $140k last year and felt very comfortable, will make closer to $180k next year and feel great about it. Would be different if we had student loans or daycare expenses for more than 1.

30/34 - 250 K last year. On track for 350-400 this year, although DH is planning to reinvest some of it back into his company

33/33, HHI 600k. Hubby is a physician, plus gets about 22 weeks of vacation a year. Can't complain!

I find this slightly odd and stands in stark contrast to what I've generally heard. You did specify ER, but both my parents are physicians (cardiology and allergy) who have practiced for over 30 years and they both say the golden age is long gone...pre-HMO and med mal issues.
