1) OP, no, like you, I can't stand it. Will never go to Sea World now that I know what I know.

2) PP, we do not go to circuses except those with domesticated animals, such as the Big Apple Circus, which only has dogs and horses. And they are big on humane treatment of all the animals under their care. Zoos? We go to zoos but we research them ahead of time. We go to National Zoo but do NOT go to local rinky-dink ones like Reston Zoo (TERRIBLE history there) or other ones like this.

I wont go to a Seaworld, or a circus with animals in it.
I have been to the Natiomal Zoo which is not perfect but at least the animals arent abused and made to perform tricks for our benefit.
