"Who is Lor San Tekka?
He’s the character, played by Max Von Sydow, who gets killed by Kylo Ren at the beginning of the film. What we know is Leia trusts him, he knows who Kylo Ren really is, and Kylo Ren knows him. He’s also, somehow, found a piece to Luke’s map. That’s not a lot, but he’s definitely important.
Read what the Star Wars database says: “A legendary traveler and explorer, Lor San Tekka is a longtime ally of the New Republic and the Resistance. After the Battle of Endor, San Tekka helped Luke Skywalker recover secret Jedi lore that the Empire had tried to erase, and Leia Organa hopes the old scout can now help find her brother. Following decades of adventure, San Tekka retired to live simply on Jakku, where he follows the dictates of the once-forbidden Church of the Force.” Can you say, Rogue One?"

Lightbulb! San tekka was on Jakku secretly looking after Rey like obi wan secretly looked after Luke on tatooine.

Leia was a good example of well done fillers. I know she had to lose weight for the role, and unless there was cgi, that was all her- and fillers. Looked good. Carrie Fisher is a smoker and had a deeper voice than Han- a little offputting- but alas no facial stigmata of a smoker= again, well done fillers.
I noticed this too, PP, but I don't agree it was well-done. Maybe there's botox going on there as well, but both Carrie and Harrison seemed to have no upper lip movement. She had a lot of that blank-botoxed-filler look. I'd rather see wrinkles and expressions than smooth skin and bleakness.
I also think they went the wrong way with the way they showed her age. Instead of fading out her eyebrows and hair to some taupe color, they should have gone with white hair and darker eyebrows; her eyes would pop. She really was bland.
That being said, she looked not overly done by today's Hollywood's standards. There was more naturalness, more flaws, than what that town usually allows.

Dude, it's the Force.
Anonymous wrote:Mace Windu is too old. He is old enough to be Darth Vadar's father.

Anonymous wrote:I think Rey is Luke's daughter. I think when Kylo Ren went bad and Luke fled, her mother hid her on Jakku. Then something happened to her mother. Maybe Luke doesn't even know about her depending on the timing.

This had occurred to us as well. I think the force would definitely bring this group together when the timing is right and Leia knew it.
A different theory: "Many people — Boyega and Samuel L. Jackson himself included — think that Finn is the son of Mace Windu."

My mind thought of Lando too, but I don’t really think there's a connection. He's just a token to check the box.
Notice who the Asian leader of the resistance was? He was Junior Soprano's protégé in the mental institution that ended up beating the crap out of him.
