We've had a few bad years, but it's getting better. This thread made me stop and think.
I get extreme relief and comfort by my DH's presence. He's always worked so hard to make my life easier. Always puts me first. And I realize and recognize How much better and easier my life is because of him. He is a wonderful human being.
He is also a grouch and temperamental. But a good man.
This thanksgiving I am grateful for so many things. Among them, my DH.

Do you miss him/her when he/she is on a business trip?
How long have you been married?
Often, yes.
Often, yes. Sometimes I don't mind a little break.
I'm a DH. Together for 12 years.
I am happy for you. I wish it were that way for me (DW).
Thank you. Sorry to hear that. How do you think he feels? Have you talked to him about this?
I've tried. I keep hoping when the kids are older it will get better again. I read posts like yours and they make me feel lonely. But it makes me hopeful for my children that maybe they will find a better relationship.

Yes, I miss him when he's traveling but I love the travel too. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. The kids and I get in a very easy rhythm when he is away (which is almost weekly) an then I get really excited when he is coming home. It strikes a good balance for us.
12 years, 10 married, 3 kids.

Try being married 30 years and get back to us.
tee hee! so true.
Seriously?? Who made you the king? All our opinions are valid.
It's like when someone complains about the terrible twos and the posters comment that the teenage years were way worse and their feelings about the terrible twos aren't valid.
