As a teacher, I couldn't agree more.

Because you get so many refugees at your school.![]()
Actually, we have a lot of refugees from war-torn places at my school. They just aren't impoverished. [/quote
Honey, you lost your "street cred" when you wrote W feeder.

No need to establish "street cred" when we are discussing mass school shootings or the existence of refugee children in our schools. Trauma isn't limited to the lowest socioeconomic class. You should know this if you really are a teacher.
I have friends who left the NEC and DCC for W schools. guess what? Many of your W teachers can't handle the five or so "difficult" kids you get. So get off your high horse first of all. Second, genius, much of the trauma at your school is caused by the drama at home - the push for all As which causes anxiety and depression in these kids. quite a different type of "trauma" for your SES crew
Give it up.
How many gang-related fights have you seen? lol

They leave for "better" places. Folks in DC move to PG. Those in PG move to Mo Co. The gangs are mostly in Silver Spring, Wheaton, and Langley Park, which borders SS.
Years ago, Mo Co had no gangs until they starting changing school boundaries.
No one's "safe." These gangs have huge networks that have now moved into Mo Co. Furthermore, most gang members live in poverty, and the areas above are the most "reasonably" priced - with even lower rents in PG.
School boundary changes caused gangs? Like spontaneous generation? I wonder if the Montgomery County police department knows that, or the FBI.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:You know all those unaccompanied kids fleeing Honduras and giving refugee status and placed in random high schools all over MCPS last year? Well one of them, a 9th grader, was just arrested for murdering a 22yr old found dead in the woods in Montgomery Village. All gang related. This article makes me very nervous. My kids are in a high school very close to Gaithersburg.
What is "a high school very close to Gaithersburg"? Also, are your children in a gang?[/quote
If they are in Quince Orchard, they have a fighting chance...If they are in Senca Valley or Watkins Mill, get them the eff out of there!

Where do you think our Mo Co gang members come from? PG and DC
You're an idiot.
That doesn't make sense. Then they'd be Prince George's or DC gang members.
Anonymous wrote:Seriously, would people on here be any less scared of this hypothetical man if he were 18 than if he were 20? They are just afraid of a Hispanic man around their freshman girl, period. The only way for them to solve this would be to not allow their child to go to school with Hispanics, or males, or 18-year-olds.

People who kill are raging. The killing/violence is a symptom of a bigger problem.
Too afraid to address that?? Why?
