The stupid and evil things Christians do and believe are one of the reasons I am no longer a Christian. I hope that good people that are still Muslim do the same.
I don't let the stupid and evil things that humans do dictate how I feel about god. It has very little to do with religion, there are bad people every where. Abandoning your religion won't change that. How do you cope with the crimes committed by atheists?
Don't see much crime comitted in the name of Atheism. I see tons of stupid evil stuff in the Old Testament and the Quran, and people doing horrible things based on the things in there. No purported superior being would be in any way associated with the crap in there.
Hmm.. You don’t see it?
Jeffrey Dahmer..... He said said “if a person doesn’t think that there is a God to be accountable to, then what’s the point of trying to modify your behavior to keep it within acceptable ranges?”
Then there is Jim Jones. He drew people into atheism through the People’s Temple, largely based in California. He said that he “took the church and used the church to bring people to atheism.”
There are more.

While they may not have committed atrocities in the name of their god, their atheism certainly played a big role.

If you are referring to my post (the one before yours) my point was that THEIR god (the terrorist’s) is clearly not the God worshipped by peace loving Muslims and Christians.
I find it ironic that they refer to their god in such kind terms, then turn around and cause destruction and death in this god’s name.

Yeah, we didn't say "Christian terrorists" because we knew the global Christian community wasn't reaponsible for the IRA's actions. So why do so many people so quick to refer to "Muslem" or Islamic" terrorists?
Anonymous wrote:^^ These terrorists refer to their god, Allah, as the “most merciful” and “most beneficent.”
There was nothing merciful or beneficent about what these monsters did in Paris. Or, to the Russian plane. Or, in Syria. Or, anywhere else where they wreak havoc.
