Wow! I did some research on Lutnick, and he (and his money) is truly dedicated to Haverford. Haverford's kind gesture of giving Lutnick a four 'year' scholarship to stay at the school when his parents died says volumes to me about Haverford's compassion and sense of community.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I first heard of Haverford from reddit, about the school gave Cantor Fitzgerald CEO a free college education after his parents died. It sounded like a caring school. Hope it still is.
Haverford's beautiful athletic center, was built with a major gift from Howard Lutnick, the Cantor CEO, in memory of a classmate and fellow Cantor staff member, Doug Gardner, as well as two other Haverford alumni who were killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Haverford is a place with an extraordinary sense of community among students, faculty, staff and alumnae.

Not the PP but there seems to be a pattern of late of taking innocent remarks in a discussion forum as a reason to provoke arguments. The other poster only said his/her observation about a particular school. If you'very been around the college forum long enough, we all agree it's about fit.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Nasty this morning, aren't you?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Do not dispute that its an excellent school. However, this school truly is not for everyone. Candidates really need to spend some time looking over the place and being on campus. Its a very small school.
Well what school is? Can't you say the same thing about any school?
Seems like a fairly straightforward statement. Why attack?
