I cannot believe that you are unable to make a safety decision for your toddler without your parents. You do not deserve to have a pet or children. Unbelievable.

Leave her alone. It is really easy to say what you would do, but some people really fall in the love with their pet and take to heart the commitment they have made. What seems like an easy decision, isn't.

I think you are making the right choice. Obviously no one here knows your husband (or you) and I am sure he is a great guy with many great qualities. But even great people can have blind spots that lead them to irrational choices. I think the PPs (myself included) were concerned for your and your kids' welfare in a situation where for whatever well-intentioned reasons your husband has not apparently been able to see the real safety issues involved. I think you are being very brave by putting your and your kids' physical safety as your top priority even at the cost of conflict with your husband. That is not at all an easy position to be in but you are doing the right thing.

I hope you get some resolution soon on your dog and can find a way forward with your husband and family to find emotional peace as well as peace in your home. Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy. Take care of yourself.

The intent here was not to attack your husband; however, it was glaringly obvious that you in your pregnant state and your toddler needed to temporarily distance yourself from such a risky situation. Take care.

It's like you are able to get through the day with your workload versus what your husband is willing to take on (oh so graciously), so you have decided you have a marriage of equals. No. A marriage of equals means your husband considers your position as important as his own. Sometimes more important...because you are pregnant. Is your husband going to labor with this child? How could you possibly have a marriage of equals? At this point in the marriage, your vote is worth more than this.
