When someone is complaining to me that they want something they cannot not have - "and I want to be taller, the world is an imperfect place."

If you are multitasking, you are not doing any of those tasks as well as you could if you did them one at a time.

A friend does not intentionally hurt you, if you were hurt by a friend, you should forgive them because it was not done intentionally.

I love the Spanish phrase "No necessita abuela." It really captures a bit more than "tooting his own horn."

Those who gossip with you, gossip about you. (My HS freshman year advisor)

If you wouldn't want to see it on the front of the Washington Post, don't write(/email/post) it. (aka the Washington Post rule)

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth (grandma always used to say this).
