Subject: Hamilton v. Kenyon v. Sewanee
Sewanee is the home of the Sewanee Review which was founded in 1892 and the school has a very strong writing tradition including the Sewanee Writer's conference. Writing is a core value and core legacy at Sewanee.

Hamilton and Kenyon are not different from one another and are both on my DD list. They both have excellent options for writers and are small and great for a student who wants to go to a school with a more remote setting, which can promote unity between students on campus.
Doesn't Sewanee have equally excellent options for writers?

If you're smart enough to get into Kenyon or Hamilton you're smart enough to get a job in Jacksonville. Go to whichever feels best to you. You are not likely to be conflicted. 3 very different environments for small schools in the woods.

None have brand name power but all have strong, committed alumni networks. Of the three, Kenyon is the biggest name IMO.

Terrible idea. You need to see these schools. They are pretty different. My daughter attends Sewanee but I would not for the life of me say it is the right school for everyone.

Yes, Hamilton offers financial aid, no merit aid.
Kenyon offers merit aid to a small number of students.
Sewanee offers lots of merit aid.
