The person asked about kiosks. I was providing info that there were kiosks in 2015 (I used one then) and pointing out that the discussions of kiosks dated back to then and also shared the information that they may no longer be an option as the one I used disappeared and was never replaced. If you have seen kiosks in 2019 that would be useful information also. If not, think about how useful your comment was and maybe think before you post since you appear to think you know the rules of what may be useful to people.

what a terrible software vendor. I'd research others for them to switch too AND check out who owns Myschoolbucks in case it is a Trustee or insider at the school. TOtally skimming and payment software is cheap nowadays. or do on paypal.

It’s not just about finding and choosing another vendor. The county or state has to put out a procurement that other vendors will properly respond to and then be chosen as the winning bid. They’ll be looking at things other than just fees for the families. If there was another bidder, maybe they had less in fees for parents, but charged the district more to compensate for that.

You need to complain to your school district if there is no “membership” option for about $12 a year and no additional fees. That’s not on MySchoolBucks because there are districts locally that have that option. Sounds like some school districts didn’t push for that option.

Not only is there a transaction fee each time...but the limit how much you can put in per transaction... I tried to just put in for the whole year..... to get just one fee...but they don't allow more than $120... so basically they are ensuring more transaction fees.

I am the OP, and I'd like to point out that the willingness to allow fintech companies to impose bullsh*t fees is firmly bipartisan. So yes let's tone down the attacks on the Mayor, but don't be fooled that this is a partisan issue.
