I was wondering this too, about Jill and Janna's (? Jessa?) husbands. When they're at home are they like normal people/men? Or is it always like the Bible and being super pure and soft spoken. Are they ever like "what the hell is going on with your bro!?"

I have no hope for Ben. He's young, seems pretty airy, and comes from a lame family. But the other one, Derek (?), seems somewhat sane. He's lived on his own in Nepal and has now moved with his wife away from that family (YAY!). He might be the one to be a little more real with all this stuff that's coming up.

In this situation I would expect a husband to confirm his his wife that her brother is not ever to be alone with his kids, etc. Do they have these honest talks or is everything hush hush lets pray about it?

NP but it is a rule within quiverfull/gothardite that fathers/husbands control social media. Since Josh and Anna are a part of that cult it is likely that she is in the same situation. On a personal note I feel like Josh would be hardcore censoring her now, just because he is an asshole and his house of cards is falling. If he gets divorced any redemption within his cult would be hard won.

For what it is worth I thought an STI was curable and an STD wasn't. So I learned something today too.

Wouldn't be so sure. I believe she used homebirth midwives for the first three, and I think they were very special Christian home birth midwives ones who probably would not test a nice married Christian lady for STIs because she could not possibly have one.

This news broke just in time for her six-week postpartum appointment. Hopefully SOMEONE in Arkansas has some sense and will explain this to her.

I'm sure that she has been learning all sorts of things recently that she thought she would never have to learn. Anna strikes me as a sweet and somewhat sheltered person but I don't think she's a stupid person. And I've never gotten the impression that the Duggar family frowns on medical care. I'm glad that she goes to her check ups because she really needs to.
