The area is already congested with school-induced traffic to/from Janney, Deal and Wilson (the latter two receiving some one thousands kids from other Wards). The new Tenleytown GDS campus will add to that.
Don't forget AU law school coming to Tenelytown. If you go down the road, you add Hearst, Sidwell Friends, the three Cathedral schoos, Maret., WIS.....
No wonder folks in Tenely/.Cleveland Park are getting rattled by traffic and parking.
I'm.guessing a Catholic School.had mostly folks driving in. As to getting rattled, I'm getting rattled by our cities push to 'encourage " public transport by limiting any new parking. They on purpose put FEW spaces at the new Tenley library. They on purpose put no parking at the new apt building going up on Brandywine (by REI). This asinine attempt to manage people behavior choices by force is what will drive up congestion..meanwhile, public transport is totally under policed. Please contact Mary Cheh and keep an eye on these asinine (because they work backwards) 'green, livable city' plans. A school where there already was a school.ia not what's driving up parking problems ans congestion. Its piss poor (on purpose!) urban planning.

The community could have had just a regular residential building at the car site 10 years ago but they fought that tooth and nail because of traffic concerns even though most resisdents would have used public transportation. Now you get a school.
