Kids have a hard time getting them zipped and snapped. If I had a nickel for very kid I had to help, I'd be rich.

Her kids do always look great, but I feel so bad when her DS is wearing a white dress, and is stressed out about not getting it dirty at school.
I just feel bad that her son is in a dress.
But if he did wear a dress, as long as he wore leggings underneath so he could sit criss-cross-applesauce, I'd be fine with it. Oh, stop! The judgement isn't on the child - it is on the parent. That could not have been made clearer but those of us who dislike sloppy, lazy clothes like sweatpants and cartoon t-shirts for school. Home and play - fine. School - no.
It's PRE school. The goal is learning through play. And that's just lovely-you're not judging the kid, you're judging his mom- you are the mom version of a mean girl.
