Subject: would this possession of money offend you?
OP, are you an immigrant? "Possession of money" is an odd phrase, and I'm wondering if your family and your sister-in-law have different cultural bankgrounds (and your brother has come around to your SIL's way of thinking, at least on this). There's nothing better or worse about perspective or another, and you have along road ahead of you if you can't grant equal respect to different (but reasonable) approaches.

Frankly I think "this plan" of siblings helping Das by giving money they don have (YOU don't have) will be the end of any civility between siblings.
Agreed. The desire to help your parents is admirable, but you are making a big mistake to borrow money in order to do it. If you want to contribute to the fund, give what you can afford to give. And borrowing from a family member is a terrible idea.
