Actually I don't think it would run rampant. I do think there could be an uptick in other illnesses like random colds and cases of the flu but not covid.

Let’s not lose focus of the real issue here. This is about leader ship, and in this example poor leader ship. Our priests would want us to think of them as our shepherd. And we as the flock. Priest or inherently leaders. If our shepherd who is shepherding young students at a school in close quarters and not wearing a mask, are they leading and setting the example to tell students by their actions that they don’t need to wear a mask? Of course students are like petri dishes. They spread flu and Covid like nobody’s business. Is the BI priest really advocating for everyone to just not wear a mask? It is extremely poor leadership and more than half of the school wears a mask. The Governor Younkin relaxation of masks were intended for students..."let parents decide". Prior to this order, everyone wore masks at BI. Why on earth, would a man of the cloth choose not to wear a mask now. At best, it's poor leadership and judgement. At worst, it's so so political. It's also disregarding science and just plain wrong-headed. Too bad our priests can't set the example about being part of society and being selfless. Does it bother him that much where he just can't wear a mask. He is pretty young, I would imagine he doesn't have any health issues. We need leaders for priests who teach the New Testament and not lead using the tenants of the old testament.

Hey all, I don't like the delivery of this individual but there is a point we can't overlook. That is, it seems prudent to wear masks. Although they are not the most effective, my alma mata at John Hopkins (world renowned Health Dept) recommends masks to prevent spittle and water droplets from going airborne and landing on people. People are still sneezing and all sorts of stuff like that, so it makes sense to use a barrier over my mouth. I must admit that I really dislike wearing masks, but I guess I conform to avoid discourse and offending people. Again, this individual can be more kind, but point well taken.

To answer your question above, no Father N is not wearing a mask in the hallway. That is ridiculous!!!!! Again, such a poor example. Pope Francis would not approve. I'm sure Jesus would also support the students in a close environment like school wearing face coverings/masks. Jesus would want to prevent disease. Does Father N or other priest want to spread the virus? What logic could there be for priests not wearing masks enclosed areas when not preaching. Simply ignoring science and making political statements! Does he think he can't transmit the virus if he has it? Does he not believe that masks help? Great questions, but regardless of his beliefs, he is in the minority if he believes there is no value in wearing masks. Granted, it's not the most effective, but it does reduce transmission at some level. To unilaterally just not wear a mask is reskless and poor leadership and judgement.

Whether you think that it has little value or no value to wear a mask shows how reckless you are. The fact is that students are getting covid at BI and Father Noah chooses to ignore what health experts say is a mitigating measure to reduce the spread of covid. To completely disregard a health recommendation like this is poor leadership in it's worst form...disgraceful and so not emulating what Jesus would do because he was not political like current Alexandria priests...not all but a goodly number of them. Father Noah is contributing to dividing a community. He’s teaching people how to live outside of the social contract. This is really counter to the teachings of Jesus Christ. We already know people are contracting Covid in the school. Does he somehow have an angelic halo around him preventing spreading the disease? That behavior is really a disgrace. If someone disagrees with wearing the mask and quite frankly I don’t like it, all of the experts say that at some level it helps to wear a mask. Why would he not be selfless to just do it because he is part of the community, the social contract. Again arrogance! Political priests! Not cut from the cloth of Jesus Christ.
