Don't get me went I LIKE it but apart from the faces I am having trouble finding anything genuinely original about it

That's what I thought too, but let's not forget Children of the Corn! No matter which way you drive, you're stuck in the same town, with every turn leading you back.

I would like it much better without the supernatural alien element that seems to be emerging. The introduction of the zombies spoiled Game of Thrones for me, too. I hate when a good government conspiracy or fantasy show gets wrecked by aliens.

This show is now reminding me exactly of Justin Cronin's The Twelve. This show is so derivative. I'm still watching, though!

I think they're overcompensating for Shannyn Sossamon's looks by putting her in that ridiculous outfit every episode. No one her age has worn an outfit like that in 20 years, or maybe ever. Such a weird, distracting costuming choice - it's been bugging me since the beginning. She can't be a hot mom, even though she's married to Matt Dillon? She's supposed to be the sad, dowdy, cheated-on wife and Kate is supposed to be the hot AP? Sorry, it's not working.

It wasn't too bad and I think it set up Matt Dillons exit very well. He was just about managing to turn up and say his lines in this episode. Maybe he will return to making films now

I thought the ending was great. Especially how it mimicked the first episode.

Is that how the books ended?

Anyone else watch the finale tonight? No spoilers, but I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the way they ended things in that final scene. I'm not sure how the books ended but this felt like a definite set-up for a second season.

In these two pictures I think the photo is squished somehow? Large photos so I'm posting links.

Very good. All three photos show her clothes, her OWN clothes, designed to conceal a large ass.

Maybe you should look inward to see what makes you so unhappy that you feel the need to knock others down for enjoyment/to make yourself feel better.

Seriously! Why does PP want to take down this actress so much? She's gorgeous.

I will watch the finale next week and promptly forget the lot, I think.

I'm still watching and thought it was a pretty good episode. It was touching when Harold mouthed to Kate, "I love you" right before that kid shot him. I wasn't sure if they really loved each other or were just playing along due to the constant surveillance.

So how do they prove to the townspeople that what they're saying is true? Do they take them to Plot 33 and show them the videos that Teresa discovered? Also - don't all the kids (the "First Generation") know about the Abbies anyway?

And finally - will the writers please, please put Teresa in something other than a huge, lumpy, shapeless cardigan sweater, skirt, and boots? Doesn't seem fair that Kate gets all the sexy/updated clothes, while Teresa is dowdy personified.

She is slightly on the larger side and they are attempting to conceal that fact.

No, she's gorgeous and a perfect size. They seem to be deliberately trying to make her appear homely or dowdy, when she's anything but.

Being gorgeous and slightly larger ON SCREEN are not mutually exclusive. She is probably the perfect size in real life, but she is not for TV screens.

Yeah she's a fat asd all right

Not in this photo, sure. She had a 2nd child not long ago (3 years?) and this photo is OLD. I can show you photos of a skinny Kate Winslet or a skinny Hilary Clinton. It doesn't mean they are skinny now. sorry about that reality.

Not the PP, but that's just ridiculous. I think her character is just supposed to be more covered up than Kate, maybe to show the dichotomy between the two. I don't think it has anything to do with her size. The huge sweaters they're putting her in only serve to make her look large, when she's not. At all. It's too bad, because she's a hottie in real life.

DC has lower standards on perfect size

Started out enjoying the show but the 2000 years in the future plot is just ridiculous. Who protected all the people suspended in stasis for 2000 years? Not to mention all the goods and infrastructure needed to recreate a town? Really, they thought this would all go untouched by other humans and natural events for 2000 friggin' years? And if you're worried about the decline of the human race, why not create an alternative community in the present?

I keep waiting for some further plot twist but it sounds like there isn't going to be one from what I'm reading here.
