I think your heart is in the right place. But any mention of a gift on an invitation is just too tacky for words.

I am once again astounded at how many nasty people there are on DCUM. I just want to weigh in to let posters whose children would like to do something beautiful to help people in need know that most of the normal, sane world is not offended by this. Charity is never a bad thing.
(although it is always a good idea to research charities to find the really good ones. But that's really not hard to do.)
