Be funny. You don't have to crack up a room, but need to have a sense of humour compatible with mine. I don't want to live a life where I'm not laughing often.
Be charismatic/confident/interesting. I lump these three together because generally, if you have reason to be charismatic/confident about something, whether it's your job, hobbies, volunteer work, whatever, you will be interesting when you talk about those because you'll be passionate about them.
Let me know how you feel about me - I'm not talking overwrought stuff, like the "cherishing" upthread. Buy me a stupid (but well-tailored to my interests) souvenir from a business trip so I know you were thinking about me, or text me when something random makes you think of me. Let me know you're sexually attracted to me personally, not just an available female.
This next one is a big one for me, as a woman who is dating:
Be a competent adult. Way, way, too many men in their 30s & 40s, that I meet, I wonder how they survive alone, and I'm not talking about living on takeout and getting all their clothes cleaned out. Oops, they didn't check the mail for their insurance renewal, so it got cut off before they realized it. Want to go on a trip, whoops, passport's gotta be express-renewed. Planned a date, uh oh, need to reschedule - didn't realize they double-booked themselves.
That last one, men knowingly double or even triple book dates. In DC women flake, even on high value guys. Many times it isn't intentional, people are busy, shit comes up. This isn't flyover country and you go home ever night at 530pm. I'm currently talking to 5 women right now. They fall on a hierarchy of what I think of them. I currently have dates planned with three of them on different days, but I've asked the two others to go out on days i already have plans. If those two say yes, then i'll bump the current time slot holders.
Women in their 20's and 30's who have loads of suitors do this all the time, even more than guys. an attractive woman in her 20's probably has 20+ guys she can go out with on a drop of a hat with sending a text or fb message out to them.

Well, have fun living with your mom. Why would anybody else want you in the house, even as a roommate?

the problem is most men are not natural dark triads, and those who try, the vast majority end up looking really stupid
