I'll be honest, I would have never gotten in to HLS or Wharton. And, I don't get why others who didn't are so green with envy here. Why so mean? Why not come clean and admit you wouldn't have gotten in either. And, please, don't respond...Oh I went to UMD because I wanted to save money and could have gone to Harvard.

HLS grads don't care about anybody but themselves? That's like saying the sky is blue... No duh!

Duh. She wasn't saying they don't care about *anybody* else, just not the DCUM hoi polloi.
I went to Wharton grad and I'm here, so your point is?

are there a lot of wharton grads in dc?

Besides carlyle, and MBB, I don't know of many employers around here that wharton grads would want to work for.

Actually there are a couple of us on DCUM; I'm not the only one. Not everybody heads straight to Wall Street. At Wharton, at least when I was there, you could design a program around your desire to manage not-for-profits and/or you could take lots of classes in public policy. So, for example, I know two Wharton grads in DC who are working in policy/economics fields (and I know a Harvard MBA in the same field). True, these grads are a definite minority, but they are a part of every class.

Two people with low EQ, it's not something you can learn in a book so I can't really teach it to you.

It's impressive that somebody who writes "No duh!" and doesn't understand "hoi polloi" can be an expert in reading EQ by telepathy over the interwebs.

You'll never get it.
