I read in the Post that Hogan plans to slash funding from the state for school capital projects in Moco and PG. B-CC HS desperately needs its addition also! No one in a million years would allow B-CC neighborhoods to be redistricted further north and east.

More reason to start the redistricting study now. We are not getting the funds for additions or for new schools. We need to get kids out of portables. Some schools have had them for years. The imbalance between neighboring schools (I'm talking schools within 1 to 2 miles of each other) is just asinine.

I'm sure moving more upper income neighborhoods to the Einstein cluster will help to counter act this growing imbalance between schools. But politically is it feasible? I remember back in the 90s when B-CC HS was a considered by many families to be a school to avoid. The poor physical condition of the building didn't help its image much either. The B-CC HS Foundation was created during those lean years to help fund various initiatives to bolster the school and its standing in the community.
