I don't know what it is about DC, but compared to Boston, NYC, SF, or LA I think women here give their men a pass more. I really do. You can't compare it to small town fly over country where a woman might economically need to give a man a pass but I think DC is the worst compared to peer cities in terms of women giving men passes.



I totally agree with you on that but not with the worthless misogynist poster before you. Women in dc definitely turn a blind eye more her than other cities. I also sense less of a sisterhood among the women here than in other major cities, so maybe that has something to do with it.

1) ask to see the texts
2) ditto his emails
3) tell him if there is any chance of reconciling he has to be totally honest now.
4) know that most cheaters let out the truth in dribs and drabs
5) get into therapy

Your marriage is in real trouble for three reasons. He told her he was separated which tells me he is looking for more than just sex (wanted a single woman to consider him as potential relationship material). He hung onto their texts which makes me wonder if he saved them to relive their flirty conversations. And he continues to lie to you. getting home past midnight from the so-called gym would be alerting to anyone, especially on a Friday night. Yet, he was willing to risk blowing his cover story to enjoy the moment. How old is she? This sounds like a midlife crisis.
