Agree with the "no way." CCBC seems to be struggling to find its way since changing directors last year. We have found it to be is the least diverse, least parent-friendly, least progressive place, and we cannot wait for this school year to end (which is so sad to wish away even a moment of what should be a joyous time for our little one.)

Obviously different Families have different experiences . We love CCBC - we found the school to be intimate , warm and friendly with very happy kids and a nice community of friendly parents . Added bonus of most generally staying close to school which allows for lots of play dates etc . Our child is very happy and excited to go every day. We actually chose it over NCRC (which we thought was great and had a more interesting curriculum approach and probably better qualified teachers : our reasons were purely logistical ; location and afternoon school ) . And yes , CCBC is not very diverse but is a happy , caring , nurturing and responsive school .

We love the River School as well. Incredible teachers and community.
