There's a large range of normal and a bulk of it is genetic. Some people just naturally build up more plaque than others.

I'm 33 and got a bad genetic card, plaque-wise. I've had 2 implants and 2-3 fillings. Hoping my daughter gets better luck.

3 root canals,(one tooth was done twice over the years)
4 crowns

Cavity in about every tooth

Btw every root canaled tooth had to eventually get pulled.
Decay got under the crowns...pissed me off

1 cavity that I got after I was 40, that was my first ever.

And I grew up in England, no fluoride in the water.

I have intact teeth. No fillings, no crowns, no root canals.
Good genes, I guess.

Wow! You do have great genes. Congratulations! I bet you don’t mind going to the dentist either. Wish I could say the same.

I think it's genetic.

My husband is the same age and never had a cavity. No root canals, crowns, no braces.

My 11 and 14-year old sons thankfully take after him in that respect. Zero cavities.

ME---lots of minor cavities as a kid. I did have a major sweet tooth.

50

0 root canals

2 dental crowns (1 just last week at 50 a crack in a molar due to an old childhood filing that was large)
My first dental crown was at age 25 when I cracked a molar on a walnut. I still have the original crown

Thankfully, no pain when it happened for either. I went ahead with the crown last week to avoid a root canal down the road.
